Since school, I've been...
Right after highschool I went to work for Winn Dixie as a meatcutter. I married my high school sweetheart Sandra Coleman in March of 1971. Manny Marrero was my bestman. It sadden me to learn that he had passed away. We knew each other since junior high at West Miami. I would appreciate it if anyone with any information concerning Manny's death would contact me. In 1973 I went to work for Miami Dade Corrections as a detention deputy. I left Dade County in 1984 to work with my wife in her small business Ceramics By You which was located in the Concord Shopping Center on Bird Road and 112 Ave. Our daughter is still running the business. In 1998 I went back to work for Miami Dade Corrections. In 2001 I also started working for Pre-Paid Legal Services as a director. |
My family:
I married my high school sweetheart Sandra Coleman in March 1971. We have a daughter Tammy and a son Shannon. My daughter is married to Alain Gonzalez and they have one son named Alain Joseph. My son married Samantha Kent and one daughter named Shannyn. Both of our children bought homes that are next to ours in the Village Green area, so we are fortunate to see our two grandchildren daily. |

In 2001 I was awarded the first ever Dade County Public Safety Employee of the Year Award for 2000. The nominees are selected from the Miami Dade Police Dept., Miami Dade Fire Dept. and Miami Dade Corrections Dept. |
My favorite things in school:
Hanging out with my buddies on South Beach surfing.
Going to the movies in the Gables on dates, and hanging out at Pizza Patio on Bird Road.

I am into genealogy.
I like to watch the History channel.
I raise exotic parrots. I am trying to come up with some new color mutations.
I still like to go to the movies. My wife Sandee and I have a movie date at least twice a month.

My favorite books, movies and music:
I like action movies and movies that are based on historical fact. I also like to read and watch anything concerning UFO's. I read books that are based on history, UFO's or genealogy. I like to listen to Majic 107 which plays alot of the 60's songs. I also like to listen to country music. |
